Avi's cornerMay 03 Solar Energy Part I It is pretty clear (well, at least to me) that solar energy is the future. Not wind, wave or bio-fuels will ever be able to provide the level f energy required to power the world. Today, about half of the incoming solar power is absorbed by the land and ocean (~90 PW) and the rest is released back to space.
90PW ! geez... to power the entire planet we don't need more than 20 TWe...
I've been looking for good information about solar power effeciency for a while now. and finally I found something which personally amazes me...
The black dots represent the land area required to replace the total world energy supply with electricity from solar cells (assuming a conversion efficiency of 8%)
Amazing isn't it?
And still our dumb govrenments choose to waste our money somewhere else...
November 01 Migrating from Entrust to Microsoft PKIAs sticky as PKI components are, there is an easy way to migrate from the Entrust PKI to the Microsoft one. A small company named Edgile developed a set of migration tools that automate some of the migration steps. Pretty cool stuff...
Take a look at the demo:http://www.edgile.com/solution.cfm?level1=what_we_do&level2=PKI_Toolkit_Demo
